Creating Compassionate Community through Art

VO-globalDESIGN-2017

When I worked as a designer in the corporate world, I had lots of people around me. It was a built-in community, in existence whenever I walked through the doors of the building. During that time, I was also making art in my studios in the evenings and weekends. I was fulfilled in having community connection and self-expression.

As an artist who now works alone in her studios, I don’t have much interaction with people in my daily life. I’m comfortable that way, I’m creating. Whether it’s the art itself or the business model to support it, I’m bringing something new into the world. It’s always been my dream to live this life.

However . . .

A few years into working solely as an artist and building a business, I am realizing that  local community connection in my life is missing. I’ve done exhibitions and shows around the country and love meeting new people, talking about art and life. Individuals who love having art in their homes or wearing it as in the case of my jewelry. Businesses who have told me what a difference in atmosphere a painting or a sculpture has made on their walls, how exciting it is for them and their customers to have artists being present for special events. Each time, I go back home and work in my studios . . . and I miss those connections.

To transform that, I am developing a project that will bring visual artists together with their local business community. Where the artists and businesses partner with each other, working together to create compassionate connection with their friends, families, and customers.

There is a special energy that is created when art is present in people’s everyday lives. I’d like to see that energy flow through my community.

The FedEx Small Business Grant I’ve applied for will provide the financial support needed to get this project moving along efficiently and steadily. Your vote will help create compassionate connection . . . 6 Degrees of Separation will bring it to your community as well.

I have applied for the FedEx Small Business Grant

 . . . and I need your VOTES!!

Clicking on the image below will take you to my FedEx page. It has a very quick read of who I am as an artist and business person, and what I plan to do with the grant money.

In all, it’ll only take you two to three minutes to read and check the VOTE FOR THIS BUSINESS box at the top of my FedEx page. I will be ever so delighted for each vote!

Your votes are one of the factors that the judges look at for determining eligibility. You can vote once every 24 hours until April 1. Every.  24.  Hours.

Winning this grant will make it possible for my business to create an art program involving local businesses in partnership with artists. It takes time, money, and creative thinking to bring this project into reality from possibility, I want ALL to benefit from the community involvement and connection it holds for us.

How would you use the FedEx Small Business Grant money to make a significant impact on your business?

With the FedEx grant, I will focus on expanding my business by developing an art program designed for my community. Art is an impactful medium for creating community involvement. Many artists have their studios in their homes making it difficult to share and make sales in their community. A local business/artist partnership benefits the businesses of both entities, while creating community connection. Local talent will be hired for all phases of marketing and outreach needed to succeed.

Stand with me, make a difference in people’s lives . . . Vote for VOSTENAKstudios!

Please share with your community of friends and family.  💜  Thank you, Thank you.

I received a substantial pledge outside of my Indiegogo campaign which has made it possible to sign the contract with the publishing/PR firm with Rolls-Royce!! It is happening!!

This is my Giant Leap of Faith.

I want to knock the socks off everyone in attendance at the event. It is one of the biggest things I’ve done to build my business. I believe in where it can take me and my art. I believe in my art . . . I believe in me.

I ask that you believe in me too.

At this time, additional funding is still needed to purchase the materials for the pieces to be exhibited at the event and travel & lodging for the event. I would greatly appreciate your sharing out my campaign to your networks.

THIS. IS. IT.

A rare opportunity to be presented among my exceptional peers . . . a serious next level for my art business!

An international luxury auto maker has invited me to co-brand with them for a biennial event and be featured in their collectors’ corporate publication.

How did they find me? They searched for high profile awards given for jewelry design, specifically contemporary fine art jewelry that would be new and exciting for their collectors. Enter the 2017 Saul Bell Design Awards . . . I was the 2017 Saul Bell Design Award Finalist in Alternative Metals. They loved my winning piece, and from there conducted further research on my art jewelry . . . and voilá! I received a phone call!

Co-branding at this level is about sharing use of name, images, and references for PR and exposure. I will have a responsibility to them as they do to me, I cannot stress the importance of the word responsibility enough. This is about integrity and trust. Main tenets at the core of me and my brand, my art.

To participate in the co-branding, requires signing a contract. As with most co-branding contracts, it has a financial sharing component to it. To sign on the dotted line requires $20,000. A standard number at this exclusive level of participation. I have developed a campaign to raise the capital needed to participate. I’ve set up a pre-launch page on indiegogo.com titled “Driven to Excellence . . . The Time is NOW!”

I invite you to click on the link above to learn a bit more about my campaign! When you sign up to receive a “first-to-learn” email from me about it, I will send you lots of delicious gratitude and a pretty card! The card image is on the pre-launch page. It’s a recent painting of mine from the Conversations with the Stillness series titled, Hope.

I’ll be launching the full campaign in 3 days! I have lots of perks! Being an artist they are all about my art, both paintings and jewelry for you. Custom pieces with personal experiences too!

Join me as co-driver for this incredible opportunity to take my business to the next level!
